Health Services

As an NTC student, you have access to Bemidji State University Student Center for Health and Counseling (SCHC). SCHC provides a full-functioning medical clinic, including laboratory services five days per week during the school year and two days per week in the summer.

SCHC medical services are confidential and insurance is accepted. There is a fee each semester for utilization of SCHC services. However, if you live in BSU campus housing, this fee is included in your current charges. Students may contact healthservices@bemidjistate.edu for additional information or to schedule a medical visit.

Counseling

We have counseling available to all NTC students through the Student Center for Health and Counseling (SCHC) located in Cedar Hall on the BSU campus. Counseling appointments are currently being held via telehealth. There is a fee each semester for the utilization of SCHC services. However, if you live in BSU campus housing, this fee is included in your current charges.

SCHC Counseling services are free for all NTC and BSU students who have paid the health services fee. Students may contact Sam Clausen, Case Manager, at Samantha.clausen@bemidjistate.edu for additional information or to schedule a counseling visit.

Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center at BSU

NTC students have access to BSU’s Gillett Wellness Center, a full-service facility that includes an indoor track, racquetball courts, weight rooms, aerobic machines, pool, indoor climbing wall and activity spaces. Membership also allows students to participate in BSU intramural sports. You can register at BSU for a modest membership fee, or if you live in BSU campus housing, this fee is automatically charged to your BSU account.

Intramurals

Another great benefit of being an NTC student is the access you have to BSU intramural sports! Whether it’s basketball, flag football, hockey, volleyball, softball or the many other intramural sports, you will have a blast!
