Student Clubs and Organizations

Joining one or more of our student clubs and organizations is a great way to make friends and develop new strengths in leadership and teamwork. Plus, because many student groups have a direct connection to a specific career field, they can help you build your professional networks for the future. Some of our clubs and organizations take trips that in the past have gone to Minneapolis, Chicago and even Washington D.C.

Campus Dining

The NTC Café in the Campus Commons is a handy place to grab a delicious hot breakfast or lunch, a quick snack and your favorite coffee beverage. The Commons is also a gathering spot where students, faculty and staff enjoy conversation and downtime. Many restaurants are also close offering burgers, pizza, Mexican food — you name it.

Housing and Residential Life

Although many students commute to campus or take classes online, NTC is rare among two-year colleges in offering on-campus housing at Bemidji State University. Our students can live in Bemidji State residence halls and enjoy campus life on the shores of Lake Bemidji, including the BSU library, recreation center and athletic and social events.

Student Support

A full range of support services are available at NTC. We’ll do all we can to make sure you are moving forward in your studies and staying on track toward your career goal. Faculty and staff will get to know you and make sure you’re achieving your goals and on track to graduate on time. Your health and wellness are our first concern. If you need medical treatment, you can visit Health Services on the Bemidji State campus. If you’re struggling with a personal matter, you can talk to the on-campus counselors at NTC or BSU.

Student Success Center

The newly refreshed Success Center offers an inviting and functional space designed to foster student success. The center now features multiple group study rooms, cozy private nooks, stylish modern furniture and Rosie’s Room—a dedicated conference room ideal for group work, tutoring sessions and student meetings.

Along with academic support and other campus resources, the Success Center also provides student printers, computers and services as well as a student coffee bar offering free refreshments throughout the day. Be sure to stop by for free popcorn on Tuesdays!

Just next door, you’ll find The Roost, a relaxed student lounge designed for unwinding and socializing. Whether you’re recharging between classes or hanging out with friends, The Roost includes a TV with a Wii console, comfortable seating, video games, bubble hockey, carpetball, puzzles and a variety of board games.
