Military bridge programs through Minnesota’s Global Military Learning Network (MN-GMLN) provide opportunities for U.S. military service members who have trained in specific occupations to use their training as college credit toward specific degrees, maximizing credit transfer and saving time and money toward a civilian degree. Military Bridge Programs at NTC

Military students can receive maximum transfer credit for previous qualifying military education based on your occupational training. Upon acceptance, your military training and experience can be transferred as credits to a bridge program. These GMLN military bridge programs are fully online and applications are accepted year-round.

Community Health Worker

The Community Health Worker Certificate is a 16-credit certificate provides a blend of classroom based and field-based learning.

Health Sciences Broad Field

The Health Sciences Broad Field AS is a 60-credit Associate of Science (AS) degree in which students gain a strong professional foundation with college-level courses in writing, public speaking, biology, chemistry, algebra, statistics, general psychology, sociology and other general courses.

Healthcare Administration

  • The Healthcare Administrative Support Diploma is a 40-credit online program that prepares graduates for a position in healthcare administrative support to assist with medical office management. Diploma credits can be applied towards the Healthcare Administrative Leadership AAS.
  • The Healthcare Administrative Leadership AAS is a 60-credit online associate degree that prepares graduates for a position in healthcare leadership and medical office management.

Medical Coding

  • The Medical Coding Certificate is a 29-credit online program that prepares students for entry-level medical coding positions. Certificate credits can be applied to a Medical Coding Diploma or the Medical Coding AAS degree.
  • The Medical Coding Diploma is a 40-credit online program that prepares students for a career in medical coding. Diploma credits can be applied to a Medical Coding AAS degree.
  • The Medical Coding AAS is a 60-credit online degree program that prepares graduates for a career as medical coding professionals organizing and managing medical data in any healthcare setting.
