About the Foundation

Committed to Student Success

The Northwest Technical College Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to support NTC students through scholarships.

In February 2017, the foundation’s board of directors voted to enlist the Bemidji-based Northwest Minnesota Foundation to provide administrative support as it seeks donor support to help more students prepare for careers in high-demand areas of the region’s workforce.

About the Northwest Minnesota Foundation

Based in Bemidji, the Northwest Minnesota Foundation is one of six Minnesota Initiative Foundations established in 1986 through The McKnight Foundation’s leadership and a visionary experiment in rural philanthropy. Each of the six initiative foundations are managed locally and are sharply focused on improving the quality of life in their respective regions. The Northwest Minnesota Foundation has provided assistance and delivered services resulting in millions of dollars in local philanthropy being funneled back to local organizations to help achieve its mission to make the region a better place to live and work.
