Students filled NTC's Community Commons for the college's Fall 2023 Welcome Day.

Dozens of new students and their families filled the Community Commons at Northwest Technical College, officially kicking off their college journeys with a morning of events and activities set up to help them explore the college and its services. Students explored the services and support teams available at NTC and were able to meet staff, faculty and their future classmates in an environment of fun and energy.

After welcome messages and opening remarks from NTC President John L. Hoffman and Dr. Ketmani Kouanchao, the college’s executive vice president, students broke off for orientation sessions with Information Technology, Records & Registration and others. After a catered lunch, students were free to explore various clubs and organizations, including local businesses and employers, set up in exhibit areas throughout the college’s main entrance.

Finally, students were able to visit individual offices on campus including financial aid, business, admissions, records and registration in order to complete last-minute business or ask questions, and were able to pick up student ID cards, textbooks and parking permits.

Classes at Northwest Technical College begin Monday, August 21.
