NTC Campus & BSU Residence Halls Welcome Area Ghouls for Halloween Activities

Northwest Technical College and Bemidji State University are hosting free, family-friendly Halloween activities for Bemidji-area children on the evening of Oct. 31.

Bemidji State’s annual student-hosted trick-or-treating event will take place from 5-7 p.m. in Oak, Pine, Tamarack, Linden and Birch halls. Many floors will be decorated in Halloween themes for the event, with students participating in costumes of their own. The activity is free and open to everyone.

Trick-or-treaters can stop by the front desk of each hall for lists of participating rooms, which will be marked with an orange ‘Trick-or- Treat’ tag.

Some lobbies and lounges will feature games and prizes for children along with snacks for their families.

In addition, Northwest Technical College is hosting “NTC Halloween Fun Street” on Oct. 31 from 4-7pm. Planned and organized by NTC students, the event will include treats, games, prizes, a photo area, and a hayride. The event is designed to be fun and educational.

“The event is open to all ages,” said NTC student Hannah Curb. “We’re currently working with businesses, staff and community members to be able to have more options than the usual candy for prizes including books, and school supplies.”

Trick or Treating in the BSU dorms is hosted by Residence Life. Both events are free and open to the community.
