Practical Nursing Courses

Clinical I

Provides the student an opportunity to apply nursing judgment using the nursing process to implement safe, patient-centered care. This includes assessing, collecting data, implementing skills, documenting findings and reinforcing teaching plans for patients. Developing communication and customer service skills; working with individual patients, families, and team members. Prerequisites: Admission to the Program, BIOL 2252, ENGL 1111, completion of Nursing Assistant course (within five years of start date) Co-requisites: PNSG 1100, PNSG 1120, PSNG 1110, BIOL 2254
