This course presents the basic principles of pharmaceuticals. Including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, common adverse/side effects, and contraindications to drug use. Emphasizing drug classifications and nursing care related to the safe administration of medications across the life span. Prerequisites: Admission into the Program, BIOL 2252, ENGL 1111, completion of Nursing Assistant course (within five years of start date) Co-requisites: PNSG 1100, PNSG 1125, PSNG 1110, BIOL 2254
