AD Nursing Courses


This course introduces the fundamentals of nursing care and the interactive role of the Nurse. Physiological topics covered include: sleep/rest, integumentary system, elimination, infection control, safety, health assessment across the life-span. Psychological topics covered include: therapeutic and professional interpersonal communication. Nursing Profession topics include: the nursing process, evidence-based practice (EBP), cultural competence, confidentiality, patient education, professionalism, scope of practice and nursing informatics. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the program Co-requisite(s):BIOL2221,2252, MATH1110/1930, PSYC2201
