Plumbing Repair and Service Technology

Credits: 3

Description: This course provides the learner with practical experiences in repair, maintenance, and servicing of plumbing fixtures, drainage, waste and vent systems, and water distribution systems. Prerequisite(s): None

Credit Breakdown: 2/1/0 (Lecture/Lab/On the job training)


This course should help you gain the following abilities and competencies.

  1. Identify and describe what makes up a successful customer service call.
  2. Decribe methods for servicing gravity-fed water closets.
  3. list and describe the procedures for flushmeter valve service.
  4. Identify and explain service procedures for various faucet installation.
  5. Decribe methods for servicing lavatory systems.
  6. Decribe methods for servicing and maintaining kitchen plumbing systems.
  7. Decribe methods for servicing and maintaining bathroom plumbing systems.
  8. Apply methods for service and repair of floor drain systems.
  9. List and explain gas/electric water heater repairs.
