A paper copy, along with an electronic copy, of the signed position description should be provided to Human Resources a minimum of every 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In addition a position description should be reviewed and\/or updated in the following situations; based on organizational need, when duties have changed significantly and\/or when the position becomes vacant.<\/p>\n<h3>Writing a Position Description<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Access the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/99\/2016\/04\/Classified-Position-Description.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Classified Position Description<\/a>\u00a0form.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/99\/2016\/04\/Field-Definition-Position-Descriptions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Definition of the different fields<\/a>\u00a0on the position description form.<\/li>\n<li>Review the current position description to determine what changes you need to make, if any.
