Friends, family, faculty, staff and donors gathered at NTC—Bemidji’s Technical College on Oct. 23 to celebrate this year’s recipients of scholarships from the NTC Foundation.<\/p>\n

In total, 35 NTC students were recognized for receiving $62,000 in scholarships funded by contributions to the NTC Foundation. The recipients have hometowns representing 22 Minnesota communities, in addition to the states of Wisconsin and Michigan.<\/p>\n

The ceremony celebrated recipients of NTC’s Delta Dental Equity and Education Program Scholarship, the Fred Breen Scholarship, the George W. Neilson Foundation Scholarship, Mississippi Headwaters Blood Bank Scholarship, the NTC Foundation scholarship, the Otter Tail Power Company Scholarship, the Paul Bunyan Village Auto Club Scholarship, the Rundell Education Fund Scholarship, the Sanford Health Scholarship, the Tom & Sandy Johanning Compassion Award, and the Uran Family Scholarship.<\/p>\n

Outgoing NTC Foundation Board president Dr. Blake Smith emceed the ceremony. Also speaking were Henoc Preciado, interim head of staff for the Office of the President for NTC and BSU and director of the NTC Foundation; Ketmani Kouanchao, NTC executive vice president; and John L. Hoffman, NTC and BSU president.<\/p>\n
