{"id":4435,"date":"2021-11-16T15:52:45","date_gmt":"2021-11-16T21:52:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/news\/?p=4435"},"modified":"2022-11-02T13:42:37","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T18:42:37","slug":"ntc-community-celebrates-raising-over-31000-for-incoming-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/news\/2021\/11\/16\/ntc-community-celebrates-raising-over-31000-for-incoming-students\/","title":{"rendered":"NTC Community Celebrates Raising over $31,000 for Incoming Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Northwest Technical College Foundation raised $31,470 on the third annual Day of Giving on Nov. 9, surpassing the initial $25,000 goal.<\/p>\n<p>This year&rsquo;s fund Day of Giving campaign sought to raise enough funds to create scholarships for Bemidji High School&rsquo;s Career Academy students. Initially, the goal was the offer a $1,000 scholarship to 25 Bemidji Career Academy students who will be attending Northwest Tech next year.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 2017, the Bemidji Career Academies create learning opportunities between high school students and business partners to collaborate and prepare students for working in the field of their choice.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, approximately 800 high school students enrolled in the Academies, which offer customized training in a fifteen career paths including child care &amp; education, automotive technology, business, manufacturing and construction.
