Northwest Technical College will honor more than 220 college graduates during an in-person Commencement ceremony, May 7.<\/p>\n
Coordinated following COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the State of Minnesota and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the ceremony will last about an hour and will be live-streamed on Facebook and Vimeo. The graduates were not required to attend the ceremony and not all graduates will be in attendance.<\/p>\n
The event is closed to the public, but each graduate participating in the ceremony could request four guest tickets.<\/p>\n
The NTC campus grounds will be open to the public for self-guided tours and visits throughout May 7, but campus buildings remain closed to the public as part of ongoing COVID-19 mitigation efforts. No permits are required in college parking lots on Commencement day.<\/p>\n
Commencement will again be available through a live online video stream. The stream will be available at the start of each ceremony, Central time; viewers are encouraged to visit the stream in advance to ensure that necessary plug-ins are present and properly functioning.<\/p>\n
The Northwest Technical College class of 2021 will hear from a number of speakers both in-person and virtually including President Faith C. Hensrud<\/b>, Vice President of Academic Affairs Darrin Strosahl<\/b> and Jeanne Edevold Larson<\/b>, executive director at Bemidji’s Northern Dental Access Center.<\/p>\n
The ceremony will also feature an address by NTC’s Lorrie Prickett<\/b>, a nursing and health science broad field graduate from Bemidji.<\/p>\nTobacco-Free Campus<\/h3>\n
NTC’s visitors are reminded that the campus is tobacco-free. More information about the college’s tobacco-free policy is available online.<\/p>\n
