{"id":1927,"date":"2018-03-21T13:24:08","date_gmt":"2018-03-21T18:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/news\/?p=1927"},"modified":"2018-03-21T13:24:08","modified_gmt":"2018-03-21T18:24:08","slug":"gallery-area-high-school-students-explore-health-human-services-careers-at-ntc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/news\/2018\/03\/21\/gallery-area-high-school-students-explore-health-human-services-careers-at-ntc\/","title":{"rendered":"Gallery: Area High School Students Explore Health &#038; Human Services Careers at NTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students from area high schools explored careers in health and human services at Northwest Technical College&rsquo;s March 21 Passport to the Future event.&nbsp;The day of activities demonstrated careers available through NTC&rsquo;s nursing, medical coding &amp; health care support, dental assisting, community health worker, child care &amp; young child education and health sciences broad field programs.<\/p>\n<p>After a welcome and introduction from Darrin Strosahl, NTC&rsquo;s vice president of academic affairs, students visited stations for each of the six featured academic programs and joined in hands-on activities with instructors.<\/p>\n<p>Academic program faculty at each station gave a brief overview of their program, then directed students in hands-on activities.
