{"id":93,"date":"2021-12-06T17:15:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-06T23:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/myntc\/?page_id=93"},"modified":"2023-01-09T13:01:45","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T19:01:45","slug":"withdraw","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/myntc\/registration\/registering-classes\/withdraw\/","title":{"rendered":"Withdraw"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Understanding &ldquo;W&rdquo; grades<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The course remains on your transcript with a &ldquo;W&rdquo; grade, if you withdraw during the withdrawal period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A &ldquo;W&rdquo; grade <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">does not affect<\/span> your grade point average (GPA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The credits for the class for which you have received a &lsquo;W&rsquo; grade <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">will<\/span> count as attempted credits. Attempted credits are used when calculating your course completion rate, as explained in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/myntc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/12\/policies-3110-1-01-Satisfactory-Academic-Progress.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Withdrawing from a class will not change your tuition or fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Withdrawing from some of your classes<\/h2>\n<p>Students may withdraw (drop) from a course during the withdrawal period described below. After this time, no course may be dropped except in special hardship cases. A student wishing to withdraw from a course can do it through <a href=\"\/myntc\/go\/eservices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">e-Services<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Fall and Spring Semesters<\/h3>\n<p>Last day to add or drop a class &ndash; 5th day of the term<\/p>\n<p>Courses starting later in the term may be added through the first course day.<\/p>\n<p>Withdraw period &ndash; starts after the 5th day of the term, and the last day to withdraw varies. The last date to withdraw is up to 80% of the course meetings. The specific course dates are available through e-Services. Students will find those dates on the view\/modify class schedule screen, under drop\/withdraw dates.<\/p>\n<h3>Summer Session<\/h3>\n<p>Last day to add or drop a class less than three week long &ndash; 1st day of class<br>\nLast day to add or drop a class for course meeting 3 weeks or longer &ndash; 5th day of class<\/p>\n<p>Withdrawal period &ndash; starts after the last day to drop and is up to 80% of the course meetings. The specific course dates are available through e-Services.
