The program covers <strong>your complete tuition <\/strong>after all other scholarships, grants, stipends and waivers have been applied. This means your <strong>academic experience at NTC is FREE<\/strong>, apart from textbooks and other non-tuition fees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro\">The North Star Promise at Northwest Technical College represents the promise of a successful and rewarding future &mdash; a future you can now afford to pursue.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Qualifies<\/h2>\n<p>You must be a Minnesota resident with a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) below $80,000 and attending a Minnesota public higher education institution. Here are some other basic requirements:<\/p>\n<p>Eligible students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/mPg.cfm?PageID=194\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Minnesota resident<i class=\"bsu-external-link small fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ms-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">FAFSA<i class=\"bsu-external-link small fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ms-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>) or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/mPg.cfm?pageID=2065#instructions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Minnesota Dream Act<i class=\"bsu-external-link small fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ms-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> Application below $80,000.<\/li>\n<li>Attend a Minnesota public higher education institution or tribal college<\/li>\n<li>Not be in default on a state or federal student loan<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled, taking at least one credit<\/li>\n<li>Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards<\/li>\n<li>Have not already earned a baccalaureate degree<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled in a program or course of study that applies to a degree, diploma or certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Can I Study<\/h2>\n<p>Study any of NTC&rsquo;s 38 in-demand programs &mdash; both on-campus or online, full- or part-time.<\/p>\n<h2>How Do I Apply<\/h2>\n<p>Fill out the Federal Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) and include NTC&rsquo;s Federal School Code (005759) on the application. <strong>We&rsquo;ll do the work <\/strong>to find all the awards you qualify for so you pay as little as possible to reach your goals.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wrap-text\">Email us at <a href=\"mailto:admissions@ntcmn.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">admissions@ntcmn.edu<\/a> or call (218) 333-6600 for questions on North Star Promise or completing your FAFSA application.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The North Star Promise Scholarship program at Northwest Technical College is making the dream of a college education a reality for those traditionally left out.
