These funds are intended to provide short-term assistance for urgent, non-recurring needs such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food insecurity<\/li>\n<li>Housing insecurity<\/li>\n<li>Transportation challenges<\/li>\n<li>Utility bills<\/li>\n<li>Medical expenses<\/li>\n<li>Other unexpected emergencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Student Emergency Funds are designed to help students overcome temporary financial hardships so they can remain focused on their education and academic goals.<\/p>\n<p>Students can apply through a simple online application process using the BEAM platform. Applications are reviewed individually, and eligible students may receive one-time emergency funding based on their circumstances and available funding.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: Emergency funds cannot be used for educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books, campus housing, or other charges owed directly to the college. Please include documentation that helps to verify expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Approved students can receive funding through a variety of payment methods, including direct deposit, paper check, gift card, or other available electronic payment options.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>Students can apply online through BEAM by completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.bybeam.co\/ntc\/identity\/signin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">application<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>About BEAM<\/h3>\n<p>BEAM is the secure platform used by Northwest Technical College to process emergency funding requests.
