Serving Those Who Have Served

Whether you’re planning to attend Northwest Technical College or are currently enrolled, the Veterans Assistance Center is here to help you navigate the processes often required to utilize the benefits you’ve earned. We help current military members, veterans and their family members with education benefits. Students can also join the Student Veteran Club to connect with other veterans.

Center staff can help you determine whether you’re eligible for the GIBILL®, scholarships, disability services, personal counseling, tutoring, financial aid and other college-related services.

They can also provide assistance to your family. Besides connecting with resources, you will find that the center is also a great place to connect with others. To learn more about the help available to you as a veteran, contact Tony Schnellbach.

The Center partners with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Vet Center out of Duluth, MN. Readjustment counselors are available, by appointment, to meet with certain veterans. Contact Tony Schnellbach to find out more.

Bemidji State University and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs cooperatively created and administer the Veteran’s Assistance Center.
