{"id":371,"date":"2023-09-12T15:06:17","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T20:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/foundation\/?page_id=371"},"modified":"2023-09-12T15:06:17","modified_gmt":"2023-09-12T20:06:17","slug":"north-star-promise-scholarship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/foundation\/scholarships\/north-star-promise-scholarship\/","title":{"rendered":"North Star Promise Scholarship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">Launching in Fall 2024, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship Program is designed to provide a zero-tuition pathway for eligible Minnesota residents pursuing higher education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro\">This \u201clast-dollar\u201d initiative will cover any remaining tuition and fees after all other forms of financial assistance, such as scholarships, grants and tuition waivers, have been accounted for.<\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a Minnesota resident<\/li>\n<li>Have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Minnesota Dream Act Application below $80,000<\/li>\n<li>Attend a Minnesota public higher education institution or Tribal College<\/li>\n<li>Not be in default on a state or federal student loan<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled taking at least one credit<\/li>\n<li>Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards<\/li>\n<li>Have not already earned a baccalaureate degree<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled in a program or course of study that applies to a degree, diploma or certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>All you need to do is complete either the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Free Application for Federal Student Aid<i class=\"bsu-external-link fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ml-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><\/a>\u00a0(FAFSA) or the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/mPg.cfm?pageID=2065\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Minnesota Dream Act Application<i class=\"bsu-external-link fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ml-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>North Star Promise Scholarship funds will automatically be applied to your account each semester you meet the eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarship can be renewed for up to 120 academic credits.<\/p>\n<p>For additional details, please see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/mPg.cfm?pageID=2590\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Minnesota North Star Promise Scholarship Program<i class=\"bsu-external-link fa-solid fa-arrow-up-right-from-square ml-1\" title=\"Opens in new tab\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Launching in Fall 2024, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship Program is designed to provide a zero-tuition pathway for eligible Minnesota residents pursuing higher education.
