This legislation &mdash; titled the American Rescue Plan (or ARP) &mdash; is the third source of funding and second supplement from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) for colleges and universities in the United States.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Northwest Technical College has received $190,027 of Supplemental Support Under the American Rescue Plan. Northwest Technical College will distribute these funds through three awarding methods, Supplemental ARP Awards for Pell, EFC <span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to passing new funding, the Department of Education determined that the following students are now eligible for the American Rescue Plan and remaining CRRSA Act funds.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"&#61623;\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" data-list-defn-props='{\"335552541\":1,\"335559684\":-2,\"335559685\":720,\"335559991\":360,\"469769226\":\"Symbol\",\"469769242\":[8226],\"469777803\":\"left\",\"469777804\":\"&#61623;\",\"469777815\":\"hybridMultilevel\"}' data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DACA\/Dream Act Students<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"&#61623;\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" data-list-defn-props='{\"335552541\":1,\"335559684\":-2,\"335559685\":720,\"335559991\":360,\"469769226\":\"Symbol\",\"469769242\":[8226],\"469777803\":\"left\",\"469777804\":\"&#61623;\",\"469777815\":\"hybridMultilevel\"}' data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">International students<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Various restrictions on the use of these funds were established through regulatory direction from the federal Department of Education and the Minnesota State Office of the Chancellor. Students can also demonstrate exceptional need through the Northwest Technical College Student Emergency Funds Application.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>ARP Supplemental Awards &ndash; Fall 2022<\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Students eligible for Federal Pell Grants will automatically receive $375 and students whose expected family contribution is less than $15,000 will also receive awards of $150. Funding will be sent via mail or dispersed to student accounts on a date yet to be determined.<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Additionally, students may also apply for individual relief awards up to $500, for which the institution has set aside $3,000. Individual ARP grants are available to eligible DACA and international students as well.
