Course Offerings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our HLTH 1110 Nursing Assistant is a 4 week course, usually offered twice a term. This course follows a hybrid delivery model. Course content is online, with 4 days in-person lab\/clinical.<\/p>\n

This course is intended to prepare students to practice as Nursing Assistants. In addition, this course serves as an introduction to nursing for students who desire to pursue nursing education.<\/p>\n

The integrated curriculum meets state and federal requirements. Students are introduced to the concepts of basic human need and learn to assist individuals in activities of daily living. Principles of body mechanics are emphasized. Selected common technical nursing skills are introduced. Successful completion of this course prepares the participant to take the state approved competency evaluation and seek employment in long-term care settings.<\/p>\n

Application to Northwest Technical College (NTC) and acceptance is required to enroll in this 3-credit course.<\/p>\n

  4. Click \u201cSearch for Courses.\u201d<\/li>\n
  5. Search for a Nursing Assistant Course by selecting, subject area: Health (HLTH)<\/strong><\/em> and course number: 1110<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Click \u201cAdd\u201d and the course will be added to your Wishlist.<\/li>\n
