Students may be required to enroll in college readiness courses in reading, writing, and\/or mathematics. Enrollment in readiness courses is determined by Accuplacer test scores.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a C or above in all program-required courses (includes pre- and co-requisite courses).<\/li>\n<li>Prior to entering the Dental Assisting program, students must successfully complete foundational courses determined by the Accuplacer assessment or be waived from these courses based on courses already taken.<\/li>\n<li>Current CPR, AHA Healthcare Provider required to be taken fall semester, or transfer of equivalent course and provide current CPR card.<\/li>\n<li>Vaccinations against Hepatitis B or a signed release form and a Mantoux test.<\/li>\n<li>Mandatory attendance at an informational meeting during the first week of fall semester.<\/li>\n<li>Laptop required \u2013 no Chromebooks or Apple computers as they<br \/>\nare not compatible with some program software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Financial Aid<\/h3>\n<p>Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/career-paths\/health-care\/dental-assisting\/grants-scholarships\/\">Delta Dental Equity and Education Scholarship<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To enroll in the Dental Assisting program, students must have a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma, apply for admission to NTC and meet minimum program entry requirements.
