High-Performance Engine Machinists work in an exciting and rapidly changing industry. In this 17-credit certificate, you will learn the theory and techniques behind a variety of engine-machining processes, centered around machining engine blocks and cylinder heads for performance applications.


Graduates are qualified to pursue careers as assistants to pit crew mechanics or engine machinists in a variety of motorsports such as dirt track racing, NASCAR, circle track, rally racing and other race circuits.
