Workforce Development Scholarships

Thanks to the Minnesota State’s Workforce Development Scholarship program, Northwest Technical College is allocated a certain number of scholarships each fall that are available to students enrolling in high demand fields. Applications for the fall semester typically open on February 1st and are posted on this page. Award amounts are for $2,500 each and will be divided equally at $1,250 per semester for fall and spring terms. Priority application review will be given to applications received before or on April 30, but applications will still be accepted after that date.

Full-time NTC students (must register for at least 9 credits)  pursuing careers in automotive service, early childhood education or childcare, dental assisting, emerging computer technology, engineering technology, health science broad field, health care admin support or specialist, medical coding, gerontology, nursing generic, practical nursing, and community health worker (1st term only) are welcome to apply.

Students must be Minnesota Residents that plan to enroll full-time (at least 9 credits to be eligible). Priority is given to new, first year students, but transfer and returning students are welcome to apply. An application form will be posted on this page when available.
