Northwest Technical College is committed to providing for the needs of admitted and enrolled students with documented disabilities. Accommodations for learners with disabilities are in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In order to assure equal access to the full range of collegiate experiences in the most integrated setting possible, the college provides a wide range of supplemental services. Students must provide the college with current documentation and request services. It is the student’s responsibility to self-identify and request services. He or she will meet with the Learning Services Director to create an Accommodation Plan.
The NTC campus is accessible by ramps or doorways. Designated handicapped parking stalls are located near main entrances. Vehicles bearing a State Handicapped License are the only vehicles allowed to park in these spaces. Temporarily disabled learners (e.g. broken leg) may obtain handicapped permits for a limited time from the Business Office. Students need a letter of verification from a doctor for all temporary handicapping conditions which states the approximate length of the handicapping condition.
Students are encouraged to contact the Learning Services Director with any questions.
