Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment

Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment at NTC helps to improve curriculum development processes and a campus-wide understanding of assessment. This work includes improvement of learning outcomes, aligning course, program, and college outcomes, and increasing the quality of instruction.

The role of the IE&A Coordinator is to guide, in collaboration with faculty expertise in their subject areas, the development, facilitation, and evaluation of professional development and provide consultation in the design and implementation of high-quality assessments. The Coordinator is also responsible for college accreditation and reporting, participates in institutional planning, and works to build and strengthen the campus community.

Co-curricular Assessment

Co-Curricular activities and programs require documentation about the success of the program and effectiveness of meeting the outcomes the activity was planned for. Please contact me if you are uncertain which way to proceed. Programs should include: 1. Statement of the purpose of the program on all program invitations (What do you expect participants will learn?). 2. Send me a copy of your program poster/invitation/announcement for the record. 3. Complete the following 10 question survey linked below.
