Child Growth and Development
This course provides an overview of child development from prenatal through eight years of age. Emphasis is placed on developmental domains and learning: physical, cognitive, language, creative, emotional, and social (includes cultural). It integrates theory with observation and assessment of development in home and center-based settings. This course provides learners with a variety of field experience opportunities, including in person, virtual observations, and artificial intelligence-powered web simulations. This course meets Knowledge and Competency Framework requirements for the Parent Aware Star Rating. Prerequisite: None Co-requisite: CDEV1116, ENGL1100
