Northwest Technical College officially kicks off its 2014-15 academic year with three new-student orientation sessions on Aug. 19 and Aug. 21. Sessions will take place at noon and 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 and at 9 a.m. on Aug. 21.
NTC will offer staff and office introductions for new students, followed by a question-and-answer session and a “reverse Jeopardy!” game, featuring electronic trivia questions with prizes for correct answers.
New students are invited to an ice cream social with faculty and peers and during the last 45 minutes of each session. Students also will be shown the lab and classroom areas for their programs of study by that program’s faculty. While touring their designated program locations, students will learn what to expect in the first week of classes and can ask program-specific questions directly to faculty.
