Community invited to June 26 celebration on NTC campus

Northwest Technical College invites people throughout the Bemidji region to a fun and informative Community Celebration and Open House on June 26.

This 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. event at the college, 905 Grant Avenue SE in Bemidji, will include opportunities to meet with NTC faculty and staff, tour the campus and learn how the college’s academic programs prepare students for high-demand careers.

Activities for all ages will include a free brat lunch, served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., firefighting exhibitions, a helicopter fly-in, classic cars, a bounce house and high-performance automotive demonstrations. Attendees can also win door prizes.

Representatives of Bemidji-area employers will be on hand to talk about local job opportunities in their respective fields and the importance of the specialized training that NTC provides in both on-campus and online courses.

College advisers will be available to meet with prospective students of all ages and family members interested in learning more about specific programs, course requirements and financial aid.

Applications are still being accepted for the Fall 2014 semester, which starts Aug. 25.
