ACCT1110 Prin Accounting I This course is an introduction to the fundamental accounting concepts and principles used to anazlyze and record business transactions. ACCT1120 Business Law This course is an introduction to the principles of law as they apply to citizens and businesses. Topics include the court system, legal system, contract, negotiable instruments, agency and employer/employee relationship. Prerequisite: None

ACCT2204 Intermediate Acct I This course is a comprehensive study of accounting theory and concepts with an analysis of the influence on financial accounting by various boards, associations, and governmental agencies. Topics may include the income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and various asset groups. Prerequisite: ACCT1112

ACCT2207 Income Tax II This course provides an explanation and interpretation of the Internal Revenue Code as applied to sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. Topics include business income, expenses, business tax credits, withholding and payment of established estate and trust tax issues. Prerequisite: ACCT206.
ACCT2208 Cost Accounting This course covers accounting for materials, labor and factory overhead in a manufacturing entity. Other topics include cost systems and accounting for scrap, spoiled goods, by-products, and joint products, budgeting, standard costing, and cost analysis. Prerequisite: ACCT1110
ACCT2214 Intermediate Acct II This course is a continuation of a comprehensive study of accounting theory and concepts. Topics include various asset, liabilities and owners equity, contributed capital and retained earnings. Other topics may be included. Prerequisite: ACCT2204
ACCT2215 Auditing I This course is a study of the methods and procedures used to verify the completeness and accuracy of accounting records. Topics may include professional ethics, the audit process, nature of evidence, internal control, audit sampling techniques, the audit examination and audit reports. Prerequisite: ACCT200.
ACCT2218 Fund/Nonprofit Accting This course is concerned with the fundamentals involved in fund/nonprofit accounting. It prepares the learner to apply the basic governmental accounting principles and to prepare financial statements for fund/nonprofit organizations. Prerequisite(s): ACCT1110
ACCT2222 Accred Acct ABA Review This course serves as a capstone course covering financial accounting and financial statement preparation and reporting, auditing standards and legal liability, professional ethics, business consulting services, managerial accounting, business law, and taxation. It is also designed to prepare the student for the Comprehensive Examination for Accreditation in Accountancy, as offered by the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT). ACAT is an affiliate of the National Society of Public Accountants. This course should be taken in the student's last semester. The exam ill be administered at college testing sites on Friday, June 4, 2004. Prerequisites: ACCT200 or satisfactory work experience.

ADML1120 Legal Office Procedures This course covers the integration of legal office tasks into the electronic office setting. Topics include time and billing records, legal ethics, scheduling, court dates, depositions and appointments, maintaining client files, telephone techniques, and limited preparation of legal documents and legal correspondence. Also, this course provides a background study of the three branches of government and the state and federal court systems. Prerequisite: None.
ADML1126 Criminal, ADR, Appellate The focus of this course is on legal procedures as they relate to the specialty areas of criminal law, appellate procedures and alternate dispute resolution. It includes terminology, procedures and production of documents. Prerequisite: None.
ADML1130 Corp Collect & Bankruptcy The focus of this course is on legal procedures as they relate to the specialty areas of corporate, collection and bankruptcy law. It includes terminology, procedures and production of documents. Prerequisite: None.
ADMM1120 Medical Office Procedures This course covers medical office tasks performed by the medical secretary/assistant. Medical topics covered include health care careers, legal and ethical responsibilities, medical appointments, telephone techniques, medical records management, medical office management and meeting and travel arrangements. Pre/Corequisite: HLTH106.
ADMM1130 Medical Transcription This course is an introduction to transcription of dictated medical reports used in a variety of medical facilities. Emphasis is placed on proper formatting, building transcription proficiency, and application of medical transcription style as defined by the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists. Prerequisites: BIOL104, HLTH106, and Keyboarding skill of 40 wpm.
ADMM1134 Med Lang Apps I This course covers appropriate usage of medical language in written documentation. Authentic medical documentation will be reviewed. Proofreading for errors, analysis of content, spelling and phonetic problem solving are emphasized. A solid foundation of medical terminology is necessary for success in this class. Prerequisite: None Corequisite: HLTH1106
ADMM1150 Medical Billing/Insurance This course provides information related to medical billing and health insurance. Topics covered include billing and statement preparation in the medical office, introduction to medical coding, types of health insurance coverage, insurance claim processes and related ethical and legal issues. Prerequisites: BIOL1004 or HLTH1106.
ADMM1152 Outpatient Coding This course is an introduction to medical coding and emphasizes coding in a medical office and other outpatient care facilities. Course topics include ICD-9 and ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS Level II and III procedural coding, and legal and ethical issues related to outpatient coding practices. Prerequisite: HLTH1106
ADMM2230 Adv Medical Transcription This course is a continuation of medical transcription practice introduced in ADMM1130. Emphasis is placed on independent practice of techniques used in a medical transcription setting. Proper formatting, appropriate terminology and development of transcription proficiency are stressed. ADMS1104 Skillbuilding This course is designed to increase keyboarding speed and improve accuracy through personal goal setting, error analysis, and intensive corrective practice work. Prerequisite: ADMS080.
ADMS1108 Data Entry This course introduces the basic principles and techniques of operating data entry equipment. The course also develops a skill level proficiency in data entry. Prerequisite: None.

In addition, the learner will reinforce collaborative learning in planning, designing, and evaluating business documents. Prerequisite: CPTR1104.
ADMS1116 Business Communications This course covers composing, editing, and proofreading memos, letters, and other business documents. The principles of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and word use are developed and applied. The application of teamwork and critical thinking skills is included in the course. ADMS1120 Office Procedures This course procedures relevant to a traditional office and new procedures relevant to an electronic automated office. Topics may include work organization, time management, ergonomics, scheduling, organizing meetings, processing mail, telephone procedures, and arranging travel. The course also provides the student with an in-depth exposure to the role and responsibilities of a receptionist. Prerequisite: CPTR104.
ADMS1122 Machine Transcription This course covers skill development in transcribing machine-dictated material into business documents. Emphasis is placed on building transcription speed and accuracy; applying punctuation, grammar, and spelling rules; using reference materials; proofreading; correcting errors; and efficiently utilizing equipment and software. Prerequisites: ADMS100 and ADMS116.
ADMS1124 Proofreading/Editing This course provides instruction and practice to improve proofreading and editing skills. Students detect and correct errors in capitalization, content, format, grammar, keyboarding, number usage, punctuation, spelling, word division, and word usage. Students use standard revision and editing symbols to edit for clarity and conciseness. Prerequisite: None.

ADMS2212 Integrated Elec Offic Sys This course demonstrates the use of a centralized computer system for both actual and simulated business applications. Areas covered include electronic files, electronic mail, files management, system management, personnel management, supervisory applications, calendar and time management, communications, microcomputer applications, and other daily activities that are experienced in the office work setting. Prerequisites: CPTR104 AND EITHER ADMS100 OR ADMS110.

Topics include file transfer options, malicious program items, management techniques, networking and security, data communications, and software evaluation, selection and installation. AMAC1021 Intro to Auto Machining This class is designed to give the student the theory of machine operations that are used in the automotive machine shop on a daily basis. The student will also have assignments of information retrieval on the computer. Prerequisite: None.
AMAC1041 Auto Machine Shop Equip This class is designed to have the student work in groups on the machines that are talked about in the classroom, this lab is not designed to make the student proficient in machine operations but rather to give them a strong understanding of machining operations. Pre/Corequisite: AMAC102.
AMAC1061 Lower Engine Recondition This class is designed to give the student information on when and why machining processes are to be performed on the lower engine, and help the student to define what a quality machining job is. Corequisite: AMAC104.
AMAC1081 Lower Engine Machining This class is designed to help the student develop proficiencies in cylinder boring and honing, resurfacing procedures, rod reconditioning, piston to rod installations, and fly wheel grinding. Pre/Corequisite: AMAC106.

AMAC2021 Theory of Cyl Head Recond This class deals with the fundamentals of cylinder head machining leading to theory of air flow improvement and valve train theory. Prerequisite: AMAC104.
AMAC2041 Cylinder Head Machining This lab class will cover stock rebuilding processes of cast-iron and aluminum cylinder heads. The intent of this class is to make the student proficient on all machines available in the rebuilding of cylinder heads as well as thread repair, removing broken bolts, cleaning equipment, and resurfacing machines. Corequisite: AMAC202.
AMAC2061 Advanced Engines This class will cover theory in engine operations and different assembly techniques as well as cam shaft design, cam configuration, and cam degreeing. This class will discuss engine failure, engine analysis, valve train dynamics. In the lab portion of this class the student will be expected to totally rebuild an engine, taking in to consideration all things that were covered in the class. Prerequisite: TRNS108; Pre/Corequisites: AMAC106 and AMAC202.
AMAC2081 Parts, Sales, and Mgmt This course introduces the student to the parts, and specifications books. It will also cover customer relations, visiting machine shops to do price comparisons, and developing a warranty policy. Prerequisite: None.
AMAC2121 Aluminum Cyl Head Weld This course is designed to allow the student to become familiar with different techniques in the operation of TIG welding. The student will start out welding aluminum plates and progress into welding aluminum cylinder heads. Prerequisite: AMAC104.
AMAC2141 Crankshaft Reconditioning This course covers identifying, measuring, straightening, checking for cracks, welding and grinding crankshafts. Prerequisite: AMAC104.
AMAC2161 Engine Lab This class is designed to allow the student to rebuild an engine. The student will be required to have successfully completed the advanced engine class. Prerequisite: AMAC206.
AMAC2181 Line Boring & Honing This course will cover both line boring and line honing. The student will get hands-on training in both of these areas. Prerequisites: AMAC104 and AMAC108.
AMAC2201 Fabrication Lab This class is designed to give the student experience in arc welding, gas welding, the cutting torch, wire feed welding, band saw operations, lathe, and mill operations. Prerequisites: AMAC104, AMAC108, and AMAC204.

In this class the learner will be required to do jobs that come into the shop, each job will have preset hours and the learner will be required to complete 96 hours worth of work. This will be an independent study in the lab. Prerequisite: Instructor Approval

This will be an independent study in the lab. Prerequisite: Will be determined by the instructor and student based on skills to be developed.
AMAC2250 High Perf Heads II This course covers more advanced techniques and practices of cylinder head porting. The goal of this course is to have the students achieve a higher level of understanding in air flow through a cylinder head. Prerequisite: AMAC240.
AMAC2260 CNC Block Machining This course covers the safe operation and set up of the RMC CNC machine. Prerequisite(s): AMAC1104 Corequisite(s): AMAC1108
AMAC2281 Simulated Machine Shop This course is designed to help the student become more proficient in the jobs that are done in an automotive machine shop. In this class the student will be required to do jobs that come into the shop, each job will have preset hours and the student will be required to complete 96 hours worth of work. This will be an independent study in the lab. Prerequisite: this class is designed to take the place of the student doing an internship so all other AMAC classes must be completed.
