Profile: Katelyn Tingelstad
For Katelyn Tingelstad, NTC is an extension of home. The Bemidji native began taking classes as a high school junior through post-secondary enrollment. Although she was younger than most students, Katelyn felt welcomed. "Everyone was so accepting, and they appreciated that I was here," she says. "It's a smaller campus, and I felt right at home."
The small-school feel, combined with the Nursing program, made NTC an ideal fit for Katelyn. After she earns her LPN licensure, she plans to pursue an AS in Nursing. "I'm close to home, and I knew I wanted to become a nurse," she says. "My instructors are so encouraging, and I enjoy the atmosphere."
