Financial Aid

Learners must apply for financial aid each school year. A new Free Application for Federal Student Aid  (FAFSA) is available after January 1 for the following school year at www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is important to apply early.

Northwest Technical College's FAFSA school code is 005759.

Once your financial aid is awarded, it is applied to your NTC and Bemidji State University bill (if one exists).  If you are taking classes at other institutions, aid is not automatically applied to cover these expenses.  You will need to use your aid disbursement or your own money to pay these bills.  Please go to MyNTC, log-in, click on E-Services, and bills and payments to review what you owe.

Scholarships are available each year through NTC.   Scholarship opportunities can change, so please check on scholarship options regularly.

STUDENT LOANS:

Student Loans are not automatically awarded.  If you need student loans, you need to accept the amount of student loans you wish to borrow.  You can accept student loans through E-Services, click on financial aid, and loans.  Please remember, if you are a first-time NTC loan borrower you will need to complete a loan entrance counseling and a master promissory note at http://www.studentloans.gov.
