Learners must apply for financial aid each school year. A new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available after January 1 for the following school year at www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is important to apply early. Northwest Technical College's FAFSA school code is 005759.
Scholarships are available each year through NTC. Scholarship opportunities can change, so please check on scholarship options regularly.
Student Loans are not automatically awarded. If you need student loans, you need to accept the amount of student loans you wish to borrow. You can accept student loans through MyNTC (login), E-Services, click on financial aid, and loans. Please remember, if you are a first-time NTC loan borrower you will need to complete a loan entrance counseling and a master promissory note at http://www.studentloans.gov.
Approved aid will be applied to your NTC bill. If you are taking online classes through partnering institutions (Northland CTC, Alexandria TCC, Pine TCC, etc.), aid is not automatically applied to cover these expenses. You will need to use your aid disbursement or your own money to pay these bills. Please login to MyNTC, click on E-Services, then Bills and Payments to review what you owe, and to which schools.
