AAS — Sales Marketing & Management

Successful business people typically possess high levels of sales, marketing and/or management expertise. If you are interested in a rewarding career in this exciting field, this Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree will be a great fit for you. The 60-credit program focuses on developing decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving and technology.

Instruction and hands-on training will cover topics including the principles of bookkeeping, markets and resource allocation, principles of marketing and principles of management, professional sales, retail management and marketing management, and small business management.

Employment

Sales, Marketing & Management prepares graduates for career advancement, self-employment or positions in customer service, retail sales and management. Other options are business-to-business sales for wholesalers, manufacturers and service industries. Entry-level management jobs include department manager, management trainee and small business manager or owner.

Next Steps

Upon graduation, the credits earned through this AAS degree can be transferred to Mayville State (N.D.) University and apply toward a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Business Administration, an online program.

College Readiness

A learner may be required to enroll in college readiness courses in reading, writing and math. A learner’s scores on the Accuplacer assessment will determine enrollment in college readiness courses. The purpose of college readiness courses is to prepare learners for the demands of a college-level curriculum. Credits may vary.
