This 19-credit certificate builds on the education provided through the Construction Foundations Certificate and teaches students the basic concepts and skills they will need to assist with residential plumbing/HVAC and construction electricity at construction sites.
The Construction Technology certificate equips graduates with the necessary fundamental knowledge to participate in construction site carpentry, electrical work and plumbing/HVAC projects. This certificate also provides the foundation students will need to work toward diplomas in apprenticeship-level careers, such as plumbing/HVAC, construction electricity and carpentry.
Many students who complete the Construction Technology certificate choose to continue working toward a diploma at Northwest Technical College. All credits earned through the Construction Technology certificate may be applied toward specialized technical core programs such as residential plumbing/HVAC, electrical construction and maintenance or carpentry.
