NTC Foundation Scholarships

The Northwest Technical College Foundation manages 25 scholarships for current and new NTC learners enrolled part-time and full-time. Over $52,000 in scholarships were awarded in 2012 and scholarships range from $250 to $1,500 per semester. The Scholarship Review Team match the successful applicants with the scholarships available based on scholarship criteria such as GPA (if required) program and residency. Scholarship recipients will be notified in April by email and mail with the scholarship award information.

Bemidji Kentucky Fried Chicken Employee Scholarship 1 ($500) Fall 2013; Spring 2014
  • Bemidji KFC employee
  • new and current students are eligible
Current Learner Scholarship 3 ($1000) Fall 2013
  • completed 12 credits at NTC
  • enrolled in 12 credits or in the final semester at NTC
  • 2.75 GPA
Dental Assisting Scholarship 1 ($500) Summer 2014
  • completed Dental Assisting coursework
  • 3.0 GPA
Dick’s Plumbing and Heating Scholarship
Selection made by Dick’s Plumbing &Heating. Personal interview may be requested.		 1 ($500) Spring 2014
  • enrolled in Plumbing/HVAC
  • completed 12 credits at NTC
  • enrolled in 12 credits
  • 2.50 GPA
Eagles Aerie #351 Scholarship 2 ($351) Fall 2013
  • completed 12 credits at NTC

Faculty & Staff Scholarship 2 ($250) Fall 2013
  • completed 12 credits at NTC
  • enrolled in 12 credits or in final term of program
Fred Breen Scholarship Up to 5 ($1000) Fall 2013; Spring 2014
  • be a Beltrami County resident for 1 year prior to enrollment at NTC
  • completed 12 credits at NTC

  • 3.50 GPA
  • submit (2) recommendation letters from non-family
Headwater’s Builder’s Association Scholarship
Preference given to applicants with a personal connection with a member of Headwaters Builder’s Association		 2 ($500) Fall 2013
  • enrolled in Carpentry, Electrical Construction, Construction Technology, Plumbing/HVAC or Model Making & Sustainable Energy programs
  • hometown in Beltrami, Clearwater, Northern Cass or Hubbard counties
  • new and current students are eligible
Hill’s Plumbing and Heating Scholarship 2($500) Fall 2013
  • enrolled in Plumbing/HVAC
  • completed 12 credits
  • 3.0 GPA or in the top 50% of the first year class
  • new and current students eligible
Industrial Technology Scholarship 1 ($500) Fall 2013
  • enrolled in the Auto Service, Carpentry, Electrical Construction, Construction Technology, Forest Technology, High Performance Engine Machinist, Model Making, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Plumbing/HVAC
  • completed 12 credits at NTC
  • enrolled in 12 credits

Knife River Materials/MDU Scholarship 1 ($1,000) Fall 2013

  • enrolled in the Sustainable Environment Technology Wind Energy, or Electrical Construction
  • preference given to applicants with experience in energy/conservation technology

Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club Scholarship
Personal interviews may be requested by PBVA Club.		 1 ($500) Fall 2013

Paul Bunyan Communications Scholarship 1($500) Spring 2014

Part-time Learner Scholarship 4 ($250) Fall 2013
  • enrolled in less than 12 credits
  • new and current students eligible
Rachel Scott Nursing Mobility Scholarship 1 ($500) Fall 2013
  • be an LPN enrolled in the Nursing Mobility program
Smythe Electrical Scholarship 1 ($500) Spring 2014
  • completed 12 credits in Electrical Construction
  • enrolled in 12 credits
  • 2.75 GPA
Sue Ludwig Business Scholarship 1 ($500) Spring 2014
  • enrolled in business program on-campus or online

Young Professional Network Chamber Scholarship 1 ($500) Fall 2013
