The Accuplacer assessment is not a pass/fail test. The assessment is a tool for all incoming students to help determine which college courses are appropriate. This is a requirement for all students before they are able to register for classes. Please ask your Admissions representative about waiver requirements for the Accuplacer.
We strongly recommend preparing for the assessment, because doing well can reduce the number of classes you'll need to graduate. Scoring higher on the assessment can allow a student to save significant amounts of time and money by testing out of developmental education courses. To help you prepare, check out the following resources:
Accuplacer sample test questions
Accuplacer prep tools (including smartphone apps!)
Learning Express Library (improve math, writing, and computer skills, and much more!)
Video tutorials for all subjects
Periodically we offer the Rolling Accuplacer, which is an opportunity for students to take the Accuplacer at a time that is more convenient for them and at a time that a proctor is available to administer the test. If you sign up for a Rolling Accuplacer session, you will be able to take the assessment anytime during the posted time frame.
