Industrial model making offers a strong foundation of technical skills needed to create 3D scale models. Graduates are employed in specialized areas of product design & development, architectural model making, and prototypes. The classes and lab activities for this program are located on the campus of Bemidji State University. The 2-year AAS degree is transferable to a 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Prototype Engineering at Bemidji State University.
Graduates of this program will be employable in a broad variety of industries. Graduates of the Industrial Technology baccalaureate degree program at Bemidji State University who have included the model making area of specialization within their coursework have found employment at Compaq, Hasbro Toys, Motorola, Zoyes East, Inc., Coleman & Associates, RTC Industries, Inc., Reed Prototype & Models, Johnson Controls, Midwest Model Makers, Inc. and Zebco.
