They typically manage personnel, conduct marketing relations, accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, conduct billing and coding, develop policies and procedures, oversee technology functions and conduct other administrative functions for the organization. With successful completion of the AAS, learners are eligible for Certified Medical Manager (CMM) Certification. The most credible medical management skill tests have been created and maintained by the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management, PAHCOM. The Certified Medical Manager (CMM) examination is nationally recognized as the symbol of excellence in health care medical practice management across the country.
