Medical Business Office Management

Would you like to oversee and manage the administrative or clinical areas of a medical facility such as an independent physician’s office, urgent care center or surgery center? NTC’s Medical Business Office Management program can help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to begin your medical office career. Our AAS degree is designed to teach you how to successfully manage personnel, conduct marketing relations, perform accounting functions such as billing and coding, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, develop policies and procedures, oversee technology functions and conduct other administrative functions for the organization.

Classroom and hands-on training will cover topics including:

  • Medical billing and insurance
  • Inpatient and outpatient coding
  • Intro to anatomy and physiology
  • Budget and financial management
  • Supervisory leadership

Graduates of this program are eligible for Certified Medical Manager (CMM) certification, a nationally recognized symbol of excellence in healthcare medical practice management. For those only interested in a specialized area of the medical office, we offer shorter certification and diploma programs focused on medical coding, insurance and transcription.

Employment

Whether you prefer to live in a rural area or a large metropolitan, hospitals, clinics, private medical care providers, long-term care facilities and dental offices around the nation need qualified, responsible medical administrators who can efficiently manage day-to-day operations. Your career outlook is further enhanced when you earn your CMM certification after completing our AAS program.
