Our Medical Insurance certificate program prepares you for a great career in the medical insurance and billing department of a medical office. You’ll receive training in medical billing processes including patient account management and medical insurance claim processing. You’ll become familiar with many different types of insurance programs, profit and nonprofit third-party payers, workers compensation package and disability coverage. While the focus of this program is on insurance procedures for the medical office, you’ll also gain an understanding of the medical terminology, human anatomy & physiology and human disease conditions necessary for anyone working in this field.
