Manufacturing Technician

If you’re interested in the manufacturing industry and like the idea of helping to mold the future of products, services and processes, you might enjoy a career in manufacturing technology. NTC’s manufacturing technician certificate will provide an introduction into the manufacturing industry. Your training will include basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, computer manufacturing, computer-assisted design (CAD) and safety instruction.

Classroom and hands-on training will cover topics including:

  • Technical math
  • Engineering graphics
  • Manufacturing engineering processes

Employment

With your manufacturing technician certification, you will be prepared to explore career opportunities in computer manufacturing, process design and industrial automation. To increase your employment opportunities, you may want to consider working toward your diploma in manufacturing technology; our convenient and flexible makes it possible to earn your diploma and/or an AAS degree while continuing to work. You also have the option to transfer your NTC degree to into one of the many respected bachelor degrees offered at Bemidji State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead and other universities across the country.

Next Steps

All credits earned in the Manufacturing Technician (Certificate) program at NTC may be applied to the Manufacturing Technology (Diploma) program or the Manufacturing Engineering Technology (AAS) program at Northwest Technical College.
