General Business

Do you enjoy office work? Are you invigorated by the wide variety of career paths in business and industry? NTC’s general business program is designed to provide you with fundamental occupational training necessary for rewarding employment in today's professional workplace. Upon completion of the certificate, you will possess the ability to perform basic computer software applications, effectively communicate and perform basic math calculations, as well as being able to build and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees. Along with the office skills training, you’ll also receive valuable customer service training.

Classroom and hands-on training will cover topics including:

  • Business math/calculators
  • Business communication
  • Intro to computer technology

Next Steps

Our general business program includes exploration of business career opportunities including sales and marketing, general or medical administrative support, computer technology and accounting to help you decide which career path is right for you.

All credits in the General Business certificate may apply to the follow diploma and AAS programs at NTC.

The foundational knowledge and skills you’ll develop in this program will create a range of career opportunities for you in the diverse world of business. Nearly every type of product or service industry has a need for entry-level team members to offer general business support and expertise.
