Abnormal Psychology

Description: Meets MnTC Goal Area(s):5 Prerequisite(s): PSYC1105 This course provides an examination of major personality maladjustment and disorganization with primary emphasis on causes, diagnostic criteria, and treatment approaches. It includes historical and theoretical apporaches, as well as an examination of related contemporary issues. This is a general education course that is approrpriate for all learners interested in examining and having a better understanding of psycholoigcal abnormalities such as personality disorders, disorders related to stress and substance abuse, and other brain-related and/or cognitive impairments.
