Description: This course is intended to prepare the student to practice as Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides serves as an introduction to nursing for students who continue in nursing education. The integrated curriculum meets state and federal requirements. Students are introduced to the concepts of basic human needs and learn to assist individuals in daily living. Principles of body mechanics are emphasized. Selected common technical nursing skills are introduced. Successful completion of this course prepares the participant to take the state approved competency evaluation and seek employment in a variety of health care settings. Prerequisite(s): None
