Rapid Prototyping

Description: Overview of rapid prototyping technologies that automatically construct physical models from computer-aided design (CAD) data. This technology aids designers to quickly create tangible prototype patterns used in molding and casting of their designs. Prerequisite(s): None

  4. Demonstrate the various types of rapid prototyping technologies.
  5. Compare and contrast RP vs. other non-traditional construction processes
  6. Describe the various types of rapid prototyping technologies.
  7. Explain the emergence of rapid prototyping technology in the model making industry.
  8. Develop a portfolio of companies and materials utilized in the RP process.
