Print Reading/Sketching

Description: This course will provide the learner with a understanding and working knowledge of architectural and engineering prints and specifications. Also included are principles and techniques of preparing technical sketches without the use of instruments. Prerequisite(s): None

  1. Interpret architectural and engineering blueprints.
  2. Identify the uses of blueprints and sketches.
  3. Demonstrate the use of prints relating to industry.
  4. Explain the use of various measurement scales.
  5. Recognize common print symbols.
  6. Define print terminology related to industry.
  7. Describe the basic concept of the print legend.
  8. Demonstrate part assembly by utilizing sketches and drawings.
  9. Analyze blueprints used from various projects and codes/regulations that pertain to each.
