METC 2110

Jig/ Fixture Design for Manufacturing

Credits: 3

Description: This course covers jigs & fixtures used in manufacturing to introduce the learner to the theory of jigs and fixtures as well as exposing the learner to the application of jigs and fixtures. The course will be delivered through lecture, research, hands on demonstrations, assigned homework, and actual design of general jig and fixture solutions using a solid modeling CAD package of choice. Learners should be profecient in using parametric modeling CAD software. Prerequisite(s): METC1070 and METC2010 or MODL2250
