Description: This course covers the theory, operation, installation, hardware, software, and practical applications of the programmable logic controllers. Basic PLC programming techniques for counters, timers, and sequencers will be presented. Prerequisite: Instructor approval

1. Convert schematics to ladder logic
2. Install basic ladder logic programs.
3. Describe PLC hardware/software operation
4. Connect input and output hardware to PLC moduals.
5. Identify different make and models of PLCs
6. Troubleshoot hardware and software on different models of PLCs
7. Exhibit safe practices and procedures.
8. Interface PLCs with other systems.
9. Install multipal timer/counter programs.
10. Create personal 10 rung program.
