Electronic Motor Control

Description: This course provides application of basic theory and operation to electronic motor control including semi-conductor, rectifiers, regulators, and amplifiers. Prerequisite(s): BLDG1102, CONE1108

This course should help you gain the following abilities and competencies.

Prerequisites

Core Abilities

  1. Demonstrate effective communication/interaction skills.
  2. Demonstrate technology skills.

Competencies

  1. Demonstrate basic safety procedures designed to protect the learners, components, and equipment.
  2. Explain the doping process
  3. Explane forward and reverse biasing.
  4. Construct simple power circuits.
  5. Identify semiconductor diodes, and transisters.
  6. Describe the operation, and use for SCRs in motor control.
