National Electrical Code

Description: This course provides an understanding of the National Electrical Code articles related to overcurrent protection, raceways, special systems, panelboards, motors, compressors, transformers and the State Electrical Act. Prerequisite(s): None

This course should help you gain the following abilities and competencies.

  1. Demonstrate effective communication/interaction skills.

Competencies

  1. Identify raceways and their requirments per the National Electric Code.
  2. Incorporate the use of codeology in using the National Electric Code.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to use the tables of the National Electric Code.
  4. Locate the code requirements for installion of specific electric aplications.
  5. Calculate the requirements for branch and feeder circuits.
  6. Demonstrate the proper selection of conductors.
